I’m sorry. I can’t. I know you’re a passionate fan of Meyer and her Twilight series, but I’m… not. You handed me your copy of this so carefully, gently, thoughtfully explaining how you really believed I might like this one, how you know how much I enjoy scifi and how this novel has this great scifi premise you really enjoyed. And no vampires! You told me that twice.

I’ve had your copy for nearly four years. It’s not going to happen. I haven’t so much as glanced at the first paragraph. It’s not you. It’s me. I’m so sorry. I glad you found an author you love. I’m just not going to be able to share that particular joy with you.
